I've been eying up the water marbling technique on fingernails for quite some time now! Like a lot of nail designs, I thought... hmmm, only in the salon am I going to get this look... WRONG!!! You can actually do it at home, using inexpensive nail polishes... look at that, saving money!! Boy, I'm getting good at this, I really think I should get a reward from my man for this, believe me, it's been hard!!! <br />
<br />
When your marbleizing your nails, keep in mind that it will turn out different with each colour combination. Try it with different colours to see which look works the best for you! It's weird the difference in the swirls with the colour combos! You would be surprised!!<br />
<br />
Just an FYI: This is going to take awhile. Because the nail polish dries rather quickly and you have to work pretty quick, you can only do one or two fingers at a time after you are done the base coats. <br />
<b> </b><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6Ccy3jpSDYaTieAm5MDTbCojBspLeCuBjOIYV-wiIyLopB5uktdfCXRmaH_CZd1TjqdiCyHMybnBVoOaEwk59YI0z9uxGHWHn5PaC9n91Tsi2lsh9zr-x7fKG2ynC0Mw1H2vcFWebRtw/s1600/diy-marbleized-nails.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="299" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6Ccy3jpSDYaTieAm5MDTbCojBspLeCuBjOIYV-wiIyLopB5uktdfCXRmaH_CZd1TjqdiCyHMybnBVoOaEwk59YI0z9uxGHWHn5PaC9n91Tsi2lsh9zr-x7fKG2ynC0Mw1H2vcFWebRtw/s400/diy-marbleized-nails.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<b>What you need:</b><br />
Base Coat<b> </b><br />
White nail polish (or whatever colour you want underneath)<br />
2 colors of your choice<br />
Clear Top Coat<br />
<br />
Tape <br />
Cup full of room temperature water<br />
Toothpick or woodstick<br />
Q-tips or Cotton Swabs <br />
Nail Polish Remover<br />
<br />
<b>What you do:</b><br />
First you are going to apply your base coat. Apply a thin layer of your favourite base coat. Once your base coat is dry, apply two coats of your white (or whatever colour you want underneath) polish. Apply one coat, allow to dry, then apply another. The colors you choose to do the design with, will appear more vibrant by adding the two coats of white. I saw white because I like to do mine with white underneath, I haven't done it with any other colours yet, although I have seen lots of other nails with different vibrant colours! Ahhh can't wait to try different colours!! <br />
<br />
Tape off the perimeter of your nails so that the polish wont seep onto your skin. If you want you can do one nail at a time, it's easier that way. Tape a nail, do the design, and then proceed to do the rest of your nails. It's hard to work with a bunch of taped up fingers, trust me! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOBW6GsmEMkvYGkJTXh2h7lj3bzvObQhUl3RUZPF19CdctG316gK8Dwi5GRLA-iLuzpObRU6_0cdz-V-LbeCzB0PmZ8CtjMXkqH81sRvN4Eu-iBPOnSiz5gjbJ5ptWLf0hyphenhyphenCtVBP9IgIE/s1600/diy-marbled-nails.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="299" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOBW6GsmEMkvYGkJTXh2h7lj3bzvObQhUl3RUZPF19CdctG316gK8Dwi5GRLA-iLuzpObRU6_0cdz-V-LbeCzB0PmZ8CtjMXkqH81sRvN4Eu-iBPOnSiz5gjbJ5ptWLf0hyphenhyphenCtVBP9IgIE/s400/diy-marbled-nails.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Fill up a plastic cup or container with water that is room temperature. Open 2 nail polishes (or more, depending how many colours you want in your swirls, I recommend starting with less colours to get used to it). Grab your toothpick or wood stick and get it ready.<br />
<br />
Start with one color and drop a drop of polish into the cup, dabbing the brush on the top of the water so a blob of polish spreads out really thin. It will look very sheer. Quickly take the next colour of polish and drop that into the center of the color you just dropped. Keep going back and forth between colours (or with different colours) until it looks like rings. <br />
<br />
Remember: You MUST work quickly for this to work! The nail polish has to be wet for this to work. You might have to try it a few times before you get it right and figure out just how quickly you have to move. I quit the first time... I got discouraged big time... but the second time I picked it up I did it just fine! So if I can do it, you can do it!<br />
<br />
Once you have the desired amount of polish take your toothpick and swirl it in the polish rings to create a cool design. Take your taped finger and quickly lay your finger down on the part of the design you like and then dip it in the water so that your whole nail is submerged.<br />
<br />
While your nail is still in the water, take your toothpick and carefully clean the water by swirling the toothpick in it collecting all the extra polish. Pull out your nail and remove the tape. Clean up the edges of your fingers with a
q-tip or cotton swab. Allow your nail to dry for at least 4 minutes and then apply a top coat. Once done repeat on the rest of your nails.
You obviously will find the best technique that works for you.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzGmU6IbIx1_lAzjlja-LeB8VHr0_UzBZu-H2aAmVqekx371aIJQkGES9x3GEdhZRAns_FtyUNBrh_mmUk_doVsiQs7R73DAhvbF_1fSykpt_WoDjuaKq7ZsWqcYuVPSG2avUplqFvNFU/s1600/diy-marbled-nails1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="299" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzGmU6IbIx1_lAzjlja-LeB8VHr0_UzBZu-H2aAmVqekx371aIJQkGES9x3GEdhZRAns_FtyUNBrh_mmUk_doVsiQs7R73DAhvbF_1fSykpt_WoDjuaKq7ZsWqcYuVPSG2avUplqFvNFU/s400/diy-marbled-nails1.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Like I said before... it does take patience (I'm surprised I can even sit through this... but my nails are one thing that I do have the patience for) and you might not get it on your first or second try... keep at it, you will. I promise!!! And the time it takes to do your nails is definitely worth the compliments you will get!<br />

Feeling crafty and you just need to paint something? I get that urge... a lot! So I looked around the house in search of what I could find. I have a lot of makeup brushes... mostly for my eyes, a few bigger ones for blush. But I'm definitely an eye shadow kind of girl, always wearing different bright colours, resulting in having a few brushes, most of them being plain white. As you can see from the pics below, they aren't new... I just grabbed the brushes that I have now, they are good brushes that last awhile. And it's definitely time to dress these bad girls up!<br />
<br />
I see a lot of awesome printed make up brushes in the store, but of course, they are rather expensive and something I won't spend a lot of money on. So lets just see what these hands can do! <br />
<br />
I'm sure all your friends will ask where you bought 'em. :) They'll be asking you to make them some too after you tell them your little secret... You made them yourself! FYI: If you want to do this and you don't have brushes or if you are doing this for a gift for your bestie, the Dollarama has brushes and they work great!! <br />
<br />
<b>What you need:</b><br />
Wooden Makeup Brushes<br />
Sanding Block <br />
Craft/Acrylic Paint<br />
Paint Brushes <br />
<br />
<b>What you do:</b><br />
Sand down the handles of the brush to roughen them up so the paint sticks to the surface better!<br />

<br />
Once your base coat(s) completely dry it's time to get creative and paint pretty designs on them! Or you can just leave them the one colour! Have fun with it! Be colourful or go for the black and white look!! I'm not the best free hander ... but I did it anyway! I was gonna get out the tape... but thought it a little too much if it's just for me!! <br />
<br />
<br />

Definitely makes me like doing my makeup all the more better in the morning with my pretty new brushes! <br />

Lamps seem to be a very common thing that us DIY'ers LOVE to create and tackle! They are also a great place to start if you are just beginning or if you don't know what to do. <br />
<br />
We have all those ugly glass covers on our lights. I mean, they all aren't ugly, don't get me wrong. Some are soooo super nice and soooo super expensive... not ours. They are just ugly. I don't care if I live in an apartment, I am definitely tackling them someday... I guess depending how much longer we live here.. lol, we will see. <br />
<br />
But I definitely fell in love with this Paper mache lamp! Paper mache is coming back huge! I haven't done that for years... since I was a kid and we used to do it in elementary school. You can do this lamp with a balloon and of course, paper mache. I do like the paper mache idea... but I also like a lot of others too.... thank god we have a lot of lights in the house!! hehe<br />
<br />

<br />
The fabulous coloured lamps in the picture above are made from various coloured straws (with the scoop) and plastic plates and cups believe it or not!! I think it's kick @ss and would be perfect to brighten up any room!!! So save all your plastic plates and spoons from your parties then next time you have one!! Start your collection... or just go buy them, but it might cost a bit! <br />
<br />

<br />
LOL I think the only place this lamp would look good would be in the kitchen... but it's different no doubt.<br />

<br />
Have a few spare decks of cards laying around that you got for Christmas that you don't want... Make this card ball lamp shade! I think it would require A LOT of patience... so this one isn't for me! But it sure does look cool eh.. <br />

Oh the Tong Lamp, how I love thee!! If you have a bunch of geometrically shaped scraps of wood... why don't you think about making one of these... they look amazing!! They don't have to be this tall either, make it a smaller box, maybe a square (although I love the long ones). Get a source & power cord from Ikea or your local hardware store, a light diffuser and a compact fluorescent bulb. <br />

This lamp is made from.... can you guess it??...<br />
<br />
An extension cord! I honestly, didn't know that until I read it!! :)<br />

Don't know where to hang your keys? Or don't like what you have now? Make a vintage frame into a key holder! This would even make a wonderful house warming gift for your friends... or kids!<br />
<br />
If you don't have old frames around your house, ask your parents. I am ALWAYS on the look out for stuff like this at all times... just in case for quick projects like this. Thank god for storage! Although it's getting awfully full! LOL<br />
<br />
<b>What you need:</b><br />
Frame<br />
Screw Hooks<br />
Screw Driver<br />
Paint - If need be, colour of choice<br />
<br />
<b>What you do:</b><br />
Paint your frame the colour of your choice. Rub some off for the vintage look. It would also be cool if you did the faux metallic (with the tin foil)... or just buy the metallic paint, it's just expensive I find!<br />
<br />
Drill holes into the frame (size to match your screws). After holes are drilled, screw in each hook. And your done!<br />
<br />
Easy as pie and looks great! Mount it to your wall and put your keys in there! Or wrap it up as a gift!<br />

If you have a kid or two running around your place... then this post is for you! I was sitting here thinking of what to do with my niece when I watch her... and I was stumped, so I called a friend who gave me ALL sorts of great ideas. FYI: I have no kids.
So if you have your kiddo's home for the summer throughout the week, or even just have to entertain them on the weekends because they are in Daycare... whatever... it's summer!<br />
<br />
Have some fun with some of these home made recipes... Some might be messy...er than others!! But all in all, the kids will have fun! And I'm sure you will too! Keeping in mind... the kids (depending on their age) are only going to be using the stuff... you Mom or Dad or sister... or babysitter, or in my case Aunt... are going to be the one making it!<br />
<br />
The great thing about these supplies is they are non-toxic, all natural which is excellent since its kids that will mostly be using them!<br />

<b>Sidewalk Paint</b><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBXPatvylyu6htnfQHb8oHHMj6JqdHktgvyqeaSZwrboDNtC5YxGyNtorBWhw13J5fE8Rm2blrrkDpK-AnxQTrWnwpXCpgluYVmU6vHG68iFdcUZV-ZBxkPToEDW-7mes1y7GP7FEcZgM/s1600/diy-sidewalk-paint.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBXPatvylyu6htnfQHb8oHHMj6JqdHktgvyqeaSZwrboDNtC5YxGyNtorBWhw13J5fE8Rm2blrrkDpK-AnxQTrWnwpXCpgluYVmU6vHG68iFdcUZV-ZBxkPToEDW-7mes1y7GP7FEcZgM/s1600/diy-sidewalk-paint.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<b>Supplies</b><br />
Food Coloring - Liquid<br />
Hot water<br />
Cornstarch<br />
Small bowls (one for each colour)<br />
Bottles or Containers (one for each colour)<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<b>Directions</b><br />
Pour a 1/4 cup of corn starch into each bowl and then add a 1/4 cup of water into each bowl. Add 6-9 drop of food coloring, and stir until it is completely blended. Pour each colour into it's own bottle or container to store it. If the paint has sat awhile and started to separate, shake it up really good before using, it will be fine.<br />
<br />
<b>Watercolour Paint</b><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjaS8A5kZB3gaJ4flYpnl13VQFIEv_9-5TTUXIdyq-pR6nKgRIXd6zAUWmmbo8ckgwjC0aZrgpRc-2XqKosyukD3rCiUvISJtxxHnH4pX9dQEynoM05JhQR-tnwPyDaC7BT_Sk8G_FGws/s1600/diy-watercolour-paints.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjaS8A5kZB3gaJ4flYpnl13VQFIEv_9-5TTUXIdyq-pR6nKgRIXd6zAUWmmbo8ckgwjC0aZrgpRc-2XqKosyukD3rCiUvISJtxxHnH4pX9dQEynoM05JhQR-tnwPyDaC7BT_Sk8G_FGws/s1600/diy-watercolour-paints.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<b>Materials </b><br />
Baking soda<br />
Cornstarch<br />
White vinegar<br />
Light corn syrup<br />
Food coloring<br />
<br />
<b>Note:</b> If you don't have cornstarch you can boil 1 cup of sugar and 1/2 cup of water until clear and use that!<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<b>What you do</b><br />
Combine 3 tablespoons of baking soda, cornstarch and vinegar (3 tbsp each) and add 1 1/2 teaspoons of
Cornstarch. Once the fizzing subsides from the mixture, stir it until it's well mixed. Pour the mixture into container (you can get a paint tray at the arts and crafts or dollar store or you can use a plastic egg carton or whatever you can come up with) and add the food colouring. Make sure you add the food coloring right away, as the paint starts to solidify almost immediately. Once mixed, leave them out to harden for at least three hours before use.<br />
<br />
<b>Finger Paint</b><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeAqilvFb8hewfhe5b7PvMzrKviUh6LYsQr6ne22Ol4i4sACMvTQLkHb28osEbu21jQnB2xbITW-leOk4uKevyXNtjLyiI9KvjoDv_0C6yLNwP3CL31XV2-KcGN2Wfs3bsaLzvRgYZq0A/s1600/diy-finger-paints.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeAqilvFb8hewfhe5b7PvMzrKviUh6LYsQr6ne22Ol4i4sACMvTQLkHb28osEbu21jQnB2xbITW-leOk4uKevyXNtjLyiI9KvjoDv_0C6yLNwP3CL31XV2-KcGN2Wfs3bsaLzvRgYZq0A/s1600/diy-finger-paints.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<b>Supplies needed</b><br />
1 cup of cornstarch<br />
3 tablespoons of sugar<br />
1/2 teaspoon of salt<br />
2 cups of cold water<br />
Food coloring or Natural dyes<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<b>What you do</b><br />
Combine all ingredients except food coloring in a medium saucepan and mix well. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened, for approximately 10 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Divide into separate containers and add food coloring.
Keep in mind that this homemade recipe for finger paints works best when it's used right away. So use it up the first time!!!<br />
<br />

<br />
<b>Paper Mache or Craft Paste </b><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgr4BP9On8rlN0xmOwHytq96pBCRse99aVnFf8nHyQuygb-8myG9a7YoFRq_vDrz_8bUPCsYoiX2HfFQaiz0xRhFACmwKJw6uupPctfkCQKfrVb1GE82jKB_tYkl5wfAg9OaH5FaklNftI/s1600/diy-paper-mache.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgr4BP9On8rlN0xmOwHytq96pBCRse99aVnFf8nHyQuygb-8myG9a7YoFRq_vDrz_8bUPCsYoiX2HfFQaiz0xRhFACmwKJw6uupPctfkCQKfrVb1GE82jKB_tYkl5wfAg9OaH5FaklNftI/s1600/diy-paper-mache.jpg" /></a></div>

1/4 cup of salt<br />
1 cup of flour<br />
1 quart of water<br />
Saucepan<br />
Jar or Container to put the mixture in<br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<b>What to do </b><br />
Boil one quart of water in a saucepan. Remove from heat and stir in the salt. Gradually add the flour, stirring constantly to prevent it from lumping. Stir until the mixture is the consistency of thick gravy. You may need to add a little more flour or water to achieve the desired result. Allow the mixture to cool before using it. You can use the paste immediately or store it in the refrigerator for up to five days.<br />
<br />
<b>Paper Glue </b><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5cJuliz3SnAhVbbheg-4or20bcBHiAv_Aoe3URS8pZSpimOeSrXttWQFG7OpRqD3o9zLj4jJE6XM0X2vvnq0jFjwyZLvWRl90vhbh0Xw4TuoD5iSl41yofX_SpLxiEIHa-mqEeTj88z8/s1600/diy-paper-glue.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5cJuliz3SnAhVbbheg-4or20bcBHiAv_Aoe3URS8pZSpimOeSrXttWQFG7OpRqD3o9zLj4jJE6XM0X2vvnq0jFjwyZLvWRl90vhbh0Xw4TuoD5iSl41yofX_SpLxiEIHa-mqEeTj88z8/s1600/diy-paper-glue.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<b>What you need </b><br />
1/2 cup of cornstarch (cooked and stirred)<br />
1 1/2 cups of water<br />
4 tablespoons of Light corn syrup (or 1 sugar 1/2 cup water, boiled until clear)<br />
2 teaspoons of White vinegar<br />
Saucepan<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<b>What you do</b><br />
Combine 4 tablespoons of light corn syrup, 2 teaspoons of white vinegar and 1 cup of water in a saucepan and mix over medium heat until thickened. Once thick, remove the mixture from the heat.
In another dish mix together 1/2 cup cornstarch with 1/2 cup water and add it to the other heated ingredients. Stir well until blended. Put it in a container and it's ready to use!
Use this glue immediately after making or you can keep it in the fridge for up to about 2 months or so.
It's good for any craft that require transparent glue... like cards or scrapbooking.<br />
<br />
So, surprise your kids with some paint and have some fun today... or whenever you can! Or make some glitter or paper mache for yourself!! Enjoy!! <br />

Like a lot of people, we can't drink our water. Well, we probably could BUT we don't! And I drink a lot of water. I have to get a new Brita, so in the mean time we have been buying bottles again... and they build up cuz I don't throw them in the garbage... but only get down to recycling every so often. So I started thinking of WTH I could do with them!<br />
<br />
One being: Bracelets! My hands are quite tiny and so are my wrists so a normal size water bottle fits perfectly over my hand and on my wrist. For someone with a bigger wrist, use a bigger water bottle... that way, you can cut it down and size it to fit (I'll show ya how)! <br />
<br />
Accessories are a huge part of ones outfit... they really can make... or break an outfit. But summertime is all about fun and bright colours... so, lets accessorize baby! <br />
<br />
<i><b>You Need:</b></i><br />
Plastic bottle - Preferably a big one... unless you have tiny hands and wrists!! <br />
Fabric<br />
Buttons, Ribbons or Lace for decoration (if you like)<br />
Duct Tape or Wide Masking or Painters Tape<br />
X-acto Knife<br />
Scissors<br />
Hot Glue Gun<i><b></b></i><br />
<i><b><br /></b></i><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-Fo86lGnRQxElSyuzJ8NgongKJrzsQq9xcwLiasKAylnvEFNRApbC9WAjcydHrpTFwURve7R7Enaum8fN-EhAIxyAvSNMor2kd6XS66ecMwkvD4-0AYFfQQra_RBpFiqi2s0j0BWoCqw/s1600/DSCF5953.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-Fo86lGnRQxElSyuzJ8NgongKJrzsQq9xcwLiasKAylnvEFNRApbC9WAjcydHrpTFwURve7R7Enaum8fN-EhAIxyAvSNMor2kd6XS66ecMwkvD4-0AYFfQQra_RBpFiqi2s0j0BWoCqw/s400/DSCF5953.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<i><b><br /></b></i><br />
<i><b>What you do:</b></i><br />
Take your duct tape and wrap it around the plastic bottle cutting it off when the ends meet.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEid028LYdlvUQ1n6x7m_n40GyGToH_4surMzkYq_OkgrNSP55c237fs-i6JJnsGZCm94CwvWN8_XVBqYf07e0b6LOlxTuiOei2MoIqqUUSzoYqWs0Xu3Bqt4CiqSj8ih7Z4v68IMKpvtkY/s1600/DSCF5955.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEid028LYdlvUQ1n6x7m_n40GyGToH_4surMzkYq_OkgrNSP55c237fs-i6JJnsGZCm94CwvWN8_XVBqYf07e0b6LOlxTuiOei2MoIqqUUSzoYqWs0Xu3Bqt4CiqSj8ih7Z4v68IMKpvtkY/s400/DSCF5955.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Carefully cut into the bottle along the edges of the tape. Do this to both sides, cutting out the "bracelet".<br />

<br />
<b>If you have a small wrist and are using the small bottle, you can skip this next step. I'm using a small bottle this time, so there will be no pictures of this next part. </b><br />
<br />
Put the bottle "bracelet" on your wrist. Too big? If so, which it most likely is since you are using a bigger bottle, then you are going to cut the plastic bracelet with scissors. Measure the desired size directly on your hand, cut the extra piece off and then secure the ends of the bracelet with the duct tape, making it a bracelet again... this time one that fits! <br />
<br />
Now we are going to wrap the entire bracelet in duct tape two to three times. Making sure the edges are covered. This way, the bracelet won't melt from the glue... and the edges won't be sharp! I didn't cover the whole inside, just the edges.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQJ84C0zfAvMobhFjNibqRGCWoMdm4Z0-tLQ7QdoMPy6wvQLPW6XNCI7K4uT3k_NhbLjT3hgIC9Hg4Z0IzhDgGKXvUcXWB9GmVs1DCO7elpiInCw6J0i4Jy41XYWS3yg2__PLW74Kq6sk/s1600/DSCF5960.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQJ84C0zfAvMobhFjNibqRGCWoMdm4Z0-tLQ7QdoMPy6wvQLPW6XNCI7K4uT3k_NhbLjT3hgIC9Hg4Z0IzhDgGKXvUcXWB9GmVs1DCO7elpiInCw6J0i4Jy41XYWS3yg2__PLW74Kq6sk/s400/DSCF5960.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
If you are working with an elastic fabric, pull it gently in length stretching it before
gluing. This way the edges curl and won't be seen. And it leaves a great texture for your bracelet!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYJCFGvj_mRzl-ihBeLO6aAzb-0Hjeb1p3P7PxUUGYKFKMBbYaEuzn7S41-JMBlz_srswzr96bzFAckjg4oJAL-OCW38UmjMHESuM1TOmUWuQXDInUNo__rSNkQ1mX91xJsAH8AYtd5WU/s1600/DSCF5962.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYJCFGvj_mRzl-ihBeLO6aAzb-0Hjeb1p3P7PxUUGYKFKMBbYaEuzn7S41-JMBlz_srswzr96bzFAckjg4oJAL-OCW38UmjMHESuM1TOmUWuQXDInUNo__rSNkQ1mX91xJsAH8AYtd5WU/s400/DSCF5962.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Apply hot glue where the fabric is going to start to wrap around the bracelet. You don't need much glue. Stick the fabric down and press gently sticking the fabric, but making sure you don't squish the bottle!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEime2YdEMNqaF2_t0GTkwDle65kBl5Leos7d2VvRbQHkPtNM34elh1LeCOKKzsvGI9xBsm3ROvcrLGJJJVhQ02XvXUG8hLO8Q0PVthj5SIECTLTLfXkpz02txm-7qgNmEU8ZLrHl94XW9A/s1600/DSCF5964.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEime2YdEMNqaF2_t0GTkwDle65kBl5Leos7d2VvRbQHkPtNM34elh1LeCOKKzsvGI9xBsm3ROvcrLGJJJVhQ02XvXUG8hLO8Q0PVthj5SIECTLTLfXkpz02txm-7qgNmEU8ZLrHl94XW9A/s400/DSCF5964.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Glue fabric down and wrap the bracelet with the fabric by going around and around the bracelet until it's covered.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzNKuWacIuSzuRjQ5-pD4idsye1G6Mk8Vhm9PrwDoy1azoasnjSSmtkCBF1FEi3EbWFSVHRofptyj4tEr2jB9nTWKCedyNf92ej1wUqkNZ0T0OFJcd8vV1yK4Nl7MpWbb-lZZNALu7NPc/s1600/DSCF5965.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzNKuWacIuSzuRjQ5-pD4idsye1G6Mk8Vhm9PrwDoy1azoasnjSSmtkCBF1FEi3EbWFSVHRofptyj4tEr2jB9nTWKCedyNf92ej1wUqkNZ0T0OFJcd8vV1yK4Nl7MpWbb-lZZNALu7NPc/s320/DSCF5965.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Once you have wrapped the entire bracelet with fabric, apply glue to the bottle and glue the end piece of fabric down. Try to wrap the end around so it's inside the bracelet and can't be seen!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgH1hzTP7b3TUJplb-zZHLcO2w2tschniZ2YTWI9cj6bRS3dUtfwGtD59nPqqNkLg6oASPjzIE-uvet7CTh2GJg-0NEPEeqXFqnJxW-zgOcdh_DcovGiBGDoR2gmFyHRVrmO_Ei7d0j-9M/s1600/DSCF5966.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgH1hzTP7b3TUJplb-zZHLcO2w2tschniZ2YTWI9cj6bRS3dUtfwGtD59nPqqNkLg6oASPjzIE-uvet7CTh2GJg-0NEPEeqXFqnJxW-zgOcdh_DcovGiBGDoR2gmFyHRVrmO_Ei7d0j-9M/s400/DSCF5966.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>

The great thing about a plastic bottle bracelet is ... you can get a few bracelets out of a bottle! So grab your fabric and a bottle and start to accessorize!!<br />

I LOVE SHOES!!!!! I say that with all caps because I mean it. I LOVE them. With the bottom of my heart! Shoes and purses. Ahhh!
<br />
<br />
Well, with a lot of shoes... comes a lot of space to have to put them. So we have to use our space efficiently. I know I have a lot of shoes, I can go count, but I don't want too... and half of them are in storage bins at my boyfriends Moms house! We live in an apartment so space really is limited. But you gotta make the most of what you got... or get rid of some shoes... and that's probably not gonna happen, not in my case anyways!<br />
<br />
You can always make the tulip shoe tree!! It doesn't hold many shoes, but it sure is cute!<br />
<br />
If you are a heel girl like me... this here is a wicked idea to put crown molding on the wall and hang your shoes there! It's a good wall filler if you are drawing a blank!!! It would also be a nice space saver for in the closet if you have room above the coats.<br />
<br />

<br />
Is your front door crowded with shoes! Your hubby's shoes, your kids shoes, their friends shoes! I remember when I used to live at my parents, our shoes (and half the neighbourhoods) would be all over right at the front door and she used to get so frustrated! LOL... Now I totally understand how she felt, but back then, I just didn't care! Sorry Mom. I love you! This drain pipe shoe rack would have came in handy back then eh? <br />
<br />

<br />
If you have an idea, post it here!! Mine are just in one of those ugly boring fabric shoe holders that hangs from the closet... It hold a lot of shoes, but it isn't the prettiest. I guess that's why it goes in the closet. But I was thinking, I might cover it with a piece of fabric or something. That way it won't be such an eye sore. Good idea Linds!!! Add it to the book! lol<br />

We lost out toothpaste saver... just poof... disappeared! Along with a few other things in our place. It's weird. We both say we never move things... and there they are gone. We spend hours looking for things. Sometimes finding them in the weirdest places... but lately, things aren't re-appearing. Like our darn toothpaste saver!
<br />
<br />
Anyway, instead of heading out into the deadly heat to hit up the Dollarama, I decided to get creative and make my own! I don't know how long it will last... we will see; although I'm sure I will pick one up from the store at some point... but if I keep forgetting, which I normally do... it will make do until I remember to buy one! <br />
<br />
All you need is Q-tips (2) and Elastics (2)... Elastics don't need to look pretty, whether they are rubber bands or little hair elastics, either will work.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkhWVhLSiUuqrKeSsuVSV6HNUUG_HA6cuCIGwigZMIqGPlxCiK4PJXOh1ODiZrM_yaFt9buG6Ml2DLteSmHAOth-A71oNkAVvXYirXtLZFpcdMMDflYsJulnlllufwew1VExBvQC2PZlk/s1600/DSCF5940.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkhWVhLSiUuqrKeSsuVSV6HNUUG_HA6cuCIGwigZMIqGPlxCiK4PJXOh1ODiZrM_yaFt9buG6Ml2DLteSmHAOth-A71oNkAVvXYirXtLZFpcdMMDflYsJulnlllufwew1VExBvQC2PZlk/s400/DSCF5940.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
To make this little gadget all you have to do is place one Q-tip on the top of the toothpaste tube and one Q-tip on the bottom of the tube and tightly secure the ends together with the elastic.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilXtXh9WZLoEWm9m9Gpqqr4JgvSeY7QGJHeg71QFJJO9Va9fm8v666SHyJfA-zxenjKQzEKdI4EcgCsZbez_Ye-dnMJX3pnCz6boIr4YJHQ6PxiTBcVFi5w3XcYIcuc1e_xTr__s3Ilmo/s1600/DSCF5946.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilXtXh9WZLoEWm9m9Gpqqr4JgvSeY7QGJHeg71QFJJO9Va9fm8v666SHyJfA-zxenjKQzEKdI4EcgCsZbez_Ye-dnMJX3pnCz6boIr4YJHQ6PxiTBcVFi5w3XcYIcuc1e_xTr__s3Ilmo/s400/DSCF5946.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
You have to make sure it's on tightly because as you use the toothpaste, you slide it down pressing the toothpaste from the bottom of the tube up to the top... always giving you the best squeeze every time!! <br />
<br />

So my boyfriend comes home with two drawers in the back of his truck last week. When I seen that he didn't have any thing else... like a stand or a dresser, I realized... I think he has a project in mind.<br />
<br />
Yup, I hit that nail on the head! I asked him what they were for. He said you hunny! hahaha! Too funny, I don't effin' want them! Just another thing to add to "Lindsay's F'n List of Things To Do". He wanted me to make him "drawer shelves" because I mentioned them once before. He had them stuck in his head. So since I love him Oh So Much, I decided I would make them for him... you know, for his "Man Cave". So they sat there, taking up space, until I just couldn't look at them anymore. They have to be done, they have to get out my space and in to his. You know you love someone when you do their shelves before your t.v. stand...and ALLLLLL your other projects... LOL<br />
<br />
These are just ordinary drawers, they look like they were from a desk. I believe Kev found them on the side of the road on good garbage day to tell you the truth... Hey now, nothing wrong with that... have you ever seen what rich people put on their curbs? Man, I'm telling ya, sometimes you can find real gems!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFzp-r0qW3_E70db5WRQmnigjlDuyvgdSDWG0x7gUFzPUzZipFrfc2iZFyBgK1k_4S88pL17w6rXD5NbepzH7cp2ow18Tec-MsiVSbSgvPcA-ppD5OyhYbW_HqJ09DAG1XbVjv2iM3AGk/s1600/DSCF5760.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFzp-r0qW3_E70db5WRQmnigjlDuyvgdSDWG0x7gUFzPUzZipFrfc2iZFyBgK1k_4S88pL17w6rXD5NbepzH7cp2ow18Tec-MsiVSbSgvPcA-ppD5OyhYbW_HqJ09DAG1XbVjv2iM3AGk/s400/DSCF5760.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
So I got out my trusty tool set and went to work removing the handle and the side sliders from both of the drawers.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6u9Dqnsht014sdYun4jasVo5VaMT96nFaCGcMYDSPvd3MB9husE-wtYc-r6Do1E3bY-m4oU-l5KCcw_Gl1vT2UffzhUnb2-bteO7iChV_KuHWqkGrYioDwmLp7MPTOSR7S5vaQSUTteo/s1600/DSCF5768.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6u9Dqnsht014sdYun4jasVo5VaMT96nFaCGcMYDSPvd3MB9husE-wtYc-r6Do1E3bY-m4oU-l5KCcw_Gl1vT2UffzhUnb2-bteO7iChV_KuHWqkGrYioDwmLp7MPTOSR7S5vaQSUTteo/s400/DSCF5768.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
If there are any holes, fill them with wood. If you are going to be connecting your drawers to attach the shelves later, you can leave two of the holes in the front (where the drawer handles used to be) to attach them after you are done painting. I didn't know what we were doing with it yet... so I just decided to fill all the holes and deal with it later.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjusfU85CTakh6-kfBH6PXjZed-U6PLtUoKrQB4tZ2-BYqfGrhBfNzkEVcE-6sdHUqmEXR7rKchHqvl1_LnPcBNZ5gao0WvT3R4J2dT10Dj2mytfQp5R5j_PDKKiq6-XpW4gsCriZyguAc/s1600/DSCF5800.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjusfU85CTakh6-kfBH6PXjZed-U6PLtUoKrQB4tZ2-BYqfGrhBfNzkEVcE-6sdHUqmEXR7rKchHqvl1_LnPcBNZ5gao0WvT3R4J2dT10Dj2mytfQp5R5j_PDKKiq6-XpW4gsCriZyguAc/s400/DSCF5800.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Yup, I'm messy, I know!! lol<br />
<br />
Once the wood filler is dry, it's time to sand. Sand the drawers where you are going to paint to roughen them up so the paint sticks better... and sand the wood filler where the holes were making it nice and smooth and even, you don't want to see them when you paint! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMMjPQcMPQ-WafgJUwn81qR64Ftio37KGWMciXIXdAt6id-LLfQ2kaPLClVHIkNDX-kIOr1eGtoKqLQglSV6HabTa1VSm2tlqO1DASIxPKdz54YqzFF5oGLKE9rhSNK0NYwEUdT5fQo3E/s1600/DSCF5820.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMMjPQcMPQ-WafgJUwn81qR64Ftio37KGWMciXIXdAt6id-LLfQ2kaPLClVHIkNDX-kIOr1eGtoKqLQglSV6HabTa1VSm2tlqO1DASIxPKdz54YqzFF5oGLKE9rhSNK0NYwEUdT5fQo3E/s400/DSCF5820.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I decided not to paint the whole drawer, so I taped off some edges before painting. Tape any edges off before painting if need be. Make sure the tape is tightly pressed down on the edges, you don't want the paint to leak. If you did a base coat first and want to do some fine edge work, tape the edges and paint over the edge of the tape with the colour of the base coat. Let it dry and then paint your second coat. The base coat seals the tape and gives it a lot less chance of seepage. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7rvxmIKCZevjpkAiAMqiz6-wj3LgQ8jtiK5bA_zet7a574xY9M5_SWVhUHHnLlGUpn2IR6-55xagmWWipbSDtcL95Re6pQB_5PHxD0nVNcZ2FsDUJI3L1Qs946D9pKXrJIdGh78DDtzI/s1600/DSCF5822.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7rvxmIKCZevjpkAiAMqiz6-wj3LgQ8jtiK5bA_zet7a574xY9M5_SWVhUHHnLlGUpn2IR6-55xagmWWipbSDtcL95Re6pQB_5PHxD0nVNcZ2FsDUJI3L1Qs946D9pKXrJIdGh78DDtzI/s400/DSCF5822.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
And it was time to paint. Woo hoo! I decided on black because it will match all the other shelves in his room. After the first coat was done and dry, I gave it a second coat. Looking at it, I knew I definitely didn't need a third coat, so before the paint was dry, I peeled off all of the painters tape. The paint peels and sucks real bad if you leave the tape and remove it when the paint is dry... trust me... I know from previous experiences, LOL.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijeOf1YAEpfYHtb1hpfStc3EJ530DhwuT3fnUtB_e8WTLuj8J6VFNMF8aWX0ca_rc0n9L8rWkBtrcT3tFCMovyRluQAqxpDcTOgzbSLRyulxg2r1R7gKGRJA6ucsNSTliS4HJP7h8VPg8/s1600/DSCF5897.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijeOf1YAEpfYHtb1hpfStc3EJ530DhwuT3fnUtB_e8WTLuj8J6VFNMF8aWX0ca_rc0n9L8rWkBtrcT3tFCMovyRluQAqxpDcTOgzbSLRyulxg2r1R7gKGRJA6ucsNSTliS4HJP7h8VPg8/s400/DSCF5897.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I was going to put a stencil in the background of Kev's fav show SOA (Sons of Anarchy), but he saw the shelves and he decided he wanted them now... and he said quote unquote "people aren't going to see them anyway, what's it matter what it's got on em".... MEN (well most of them)! They just don't understand!!!!! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgM-IFFUb9DyrX_4v0rQHPhJpSp67dr6CwpRFXkOtP7SKaH8uierddlSnymPzfnhyMjpGvKBOy7kPQ4TRex9tf3TYDZ_FMx6BFy1yTxRosFOTqrOmgXAfxB0BrIAq5x85Sv0pbMaPBE23s/s1600/diy-drawer-shelves.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgM-IFFUb9DyrX_4v0rQHPhJpSp67dr6CwpRFXkOtP7SKaH8uierddlSnymPzfnhyMjpGvKBOy7kPQ4TRex9tf3TYDZ_FMx6BFy1yTxRosFOTqrOmgXAfxB0BrIAq5x85Sv0pbMaPBE23s/s400/diy-drawer-shelves.jpg" width="396" /></a></div>
<br />
So... I did a final coat of protector/sealant on the shelves, a little saddened that I didn't get to do the stenciling might I add, but only for a short minute, on to the next project that's been waiting for awhile... my t.v. stand. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1l80Ua1AoTh6aBkyHi4RpxOqtPWgFCMd7jSWBlnL6ESK2WHh8r40bMiaIDa7frIl8eUnwDKP-yjz5bFJ8scl0gUtru843IfBEVUXyhYGL5EylB_KcKAVrxhQvc5TuBOq6Gr9YxtYu28k/s1600/DSCF5906.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1l80Ua1AoTh6aBkyHi4RpxOqtPWgFCMd7jSWBlnL6ESK2WHh8r40bMiaIDa7frIl8eUnwDKP-yjz5bFJ8scl0gUtru843IfBEVUXyhYGL5EylB_KcKAVrxhQvc5TuBOq6Gr9YxtYu28k/s400/DSCF5906.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
Before Kevin could take them for his "Man Cave" I decided to decorate them just a little bit... you know, so they didn't look so bland for my pictures! Yay Me! I'm learning! LOL<br />

</script>Another fetish of mine is note books. I'm constantly writing notes or jotting things down. We always browse down the note book aisle at the Dollarama... and of course, I get one pretty much every time. I almost have too many... but there is never "too many" in my world.
<br />
<br />
This is a great notebook cuz it's small and it will fit right in my smallest purse. I need to have an on the go book for those random thoughts that I get when I'm out... or if I remember I need something. Then there is the "dedicated notes" note book that we use to write each other quick back and forth notes! Cute I know.... but they aren't always lovey dovey... most of the time it's more like "clean this, or get this while you are out". haha okay, and back on track I go.<br />
<br />
One of the good things about making these note pads is if you use a big enough cereal box... and your note books are a smaller size (like these ones) you can usually get a couple note books out of one box. So make a few while you are at it! Keep them for yourself, or give them away to your friends as gifts, they really are quite cute once they are done... and they don't take too long to finish either!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirrIRlFg3PaDn_wYtJC82se0-ab2j1QDK0E5SzK_GX0GIJSDkXXZ7gnizIlNwBFAnWqDRLYLYLNvO2pjx3FKhcq8fpEJfC1tmy3UEQ0V2a4AJQiIhnA8qwqQe_8ENmnxF9uegd72dZOCI/s1600/DSCF5850.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirrIRlFg3PaDn_wYtJC82se0-ab2j1QDK0E5SzK_GX0GIJSDkXXZ7gnizIlNwBFAnWqDRLYLYLNvO2pjx3FKhcq8fpEJfC1tmy3UEQ0V2a4AJQiIhnA8qwqQe_8ENmnxF9uegd72dZOCI/s400/DSCF5850.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
<i><b>Materials you will need: </b></i><br />
Cereal or Oatmeal Box<br />
Ruler<br />
Paper (white or lined, whichever you prefer)<br />
Pencil<br />
Button<br />
Needle & Embroidery Thread or Thread (I like thicker for this, you can see it better)<br />
Glue<br />
Scissors<br />
Decorative Paper<br />
<br />
<i><b>What you do:</b></i><br />
Take your cereal box and cut it so it's flat. Use your ruler and measure out the size of the note book. I did mine 8.5" by 6", but you can do yours whatever size you like, whether it's smaller, or bigger. If you are using a big cereal box, you can get two or three note books, so you might as well do a couple while you are at it! Once you are done, cut out your piece(s).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhj7jjDw2oaRc5om_stklDc6aWJ05jLr-FR8S33wbxbJSnNBgw8Ua1nDF6fIhMAUGILlKw4DKo07wCx_yhnlVAEdklj0lNen_cn_TsWqAeIsPwyOT1TDkOkFZBr_Rfi-7xnrEEx6-QKeYE/s1600/DSCF5856.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhj7jjDw2oaRc5om_stklDc6aWJ05jLr-FR8S33wbxbJSnNBgw8Ua1nDF6fIhMAUGILlKw4DKo07wCx_yhnlVAEdklj0lNen_cn_TsWqAeIsPwyOT1TDkOkFZBr_Rfi-7xnrEEx6-QKeYE/s400/DSCF5856.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Fold your cut out in half so the blank cardboard is outward. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjo9zVo01azHUMGHW5Tz43wKBD4I9IIZ-maflfX3AdkBQiGW_rnPi9sSAXye9o_03SaXgXi0RgTpoo7pnHZpcxo0GGFI-oUDog1S51filQUriA3s31WvdnEDN8hFSELedW2H2AQoZDJazk/s1600/DSCF5858.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjo9zVo01azHUMGHW5Tz43wKBD4I9IIZ-maflfX3AdkBQiGW_rnPi9sSAXye9o_03SaXgXi0RgTpoo7pnHZpcxo0GGFI-oUDog1S51filQUriA3s31WvdnEDN8hFSELedW2H2AQoZDJazk/s400/DSCF5858.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Next, sew your button about halfway down on the edge of the front of your note book. Make your thread longer so you can use it to wrap around and close your note book. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwbOHG4hFTMIlJTgqrdc7mxuZjM-43RCUy7h_4H96_YWzesLmr1ZLvZ1t0kqKpVUXnmxp_HdZjMJtc4gBd4vki0Yn1_VzP61BQnAMDQ8yHnhnxQIwtNAUlEBHqAgjdbflueb_E0pn8uS0/s1600/DSCF5864.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwbOHG4hFTMIlJTgqrdc7mxuZjM-43RCUy7h_4H96_YWzesLmr1ZLvZ1t0kqKpVUXnmxp_HdZjMJtc4gBd4vki0Yn1_VzP61BQnAMDQ8yHnhnxQIwtNAUlEBHqAgjdbflueb_E0pn8uS0/s400/DSCF5864.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
Trace the outline of your note book on to a piece of paper and glue it on the inside of your notebook to cover up the cereal packaging. You can use plain white paper if you like. I decided to use coloured paper since I was using blank white paper for the inside already... I wanted some colour in there to brighten up my day! :) <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxbR5dtIKDC6TDIW9Kcafm0Vq3fYkor-Bm7TAyub4cGEgEEtsi7dILp9tWGB2znARdgrEbN0xrLzsVQS2sKr3X6hO4z2GYn3ruInDu8DoD6gysM9Aftlu154c4q7mxv6Sv7dqD3QOhQnY/s1600/DSCF5875.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxbR5dtIKDC6TDIW9Kcafm0Vq3fYkor-Bm7TAyub4cGEgEEtsi7dILp9tWGB2znARdgrEbN0xrLzsVQS2sKr3X6hO4z2GYn3ruInDu8DoD6gysM9Aftlu154c4q7mxv6Sv7dqD3QOhQnY/s400/DSCF5875.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Take the paper that you are filling your note book up with and cut it so it's a little bit smaller than the outline of your book. If you want, you can glue the bottom and top sheets to the note book, but you don't have too.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_paLhjXpwlDYsrWbSuZMYE52ACZ6kctPvXjHf9nT_LGuDxcf0DJZGYg42OAYuSQ4xb7PcPFfZHGKZlmsyGi1-bgyS8ZS25UF32ffffoyDxCBk4MzoB-oKsabfWjcClftV_opYZt5VdJs/s1600/DSCF5879.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_paLhjXpwlDYsrWbSuZMYE52ACZ6kctPvXjHf9nT_LGuDxcf0DJZGYg42OAYuSQ4xb7PcPFfZHGKZlmsyGi1-bgyS8ZS25UF32ffffoyDxCBk4MzoB-oKsabfWjcClftV_opYZt5VdJs/s400/DSCF5879.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Now, take your embroidery thread and needle and stitch the paper to your note book down the centre spine. And don't worry about the mess on the back, we are going to cover it anyway with the spine!! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHDjnbUxxksnN7IU00dNOar0DLWvZvcAnpVkAIeAz5MBQ-gynJMzBqrUuUN5LGpKw1PSt5ZOpuGXmQZEV5Ymkh8Co5H7EA6bI1geBaWyKpOrTz6hAR8LYcRBSsixRotAq-ggPbDpYJ0Rw/s1600/DSCF5883.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHDjnbUxxksnN7IU00dNOar0DLWvZvcAnpVkAIeAz5MBQ-gynJMzBqrUuUN5LGpKw1PSt5ZOpuGXmQZEV5Ymkh8Co5H7EA6bI1geBaWyKpOrTz6hAR8LYcRBSsixRotAq-ggPbDpYJ0Rw/s400/DSCF5883.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
Cut out a sheet of decorative paper to go on the front and back spine of your note book. Glue it on with glue (just a tip, glue both the cardboard and the paper, it sticks MUCH better that way).<br />

I thought while I was at it with the fabric softener... I might as well post a remixed recipe for powdered laundry soap... you know, to go with the fabric softener!<br />
<br />
In the end, it's much cheaper to make your own laundry soap (and fabric softener, click here for recipe)... along with a lot of other things! Everyone has their own versions... and here's ones mine.<br />
<br />
<i><b>Supplies </b></i><br />
1 bar Laundry Soap ((I like all natural ->Dr. Bronner’s All in One Hemp Bars, lavender) or Fels Naptha)<br />
2 cups Arm & Hammer washing soda<br />
2 cups Borax<br />
1 Cheese Grater<br />
1 Blender <br />
1 Bowl <br />
<br />
<i><b>Optional</b></i><br />
1 cup Oxygen bleach (I use Oxy Clean)<br />
<br />
<i><b>Note: </b>You don't have to use the oxygen bleach if you don't want too. Add it to give it a sort of brightener. I would stay away from using it all together if you have a lot of clothing made out of silk or wool as it can discolour them. If you do add the oxygen bleach, take your silk and wool to the dry cleaners or hand was them! It is safe for your coloured clothes and can still be used when you bleach your whites.</i><br />
<br />
<i><b>Note: </b></i><i>If you can't find any bar laundry soap in the laundry detergent aisle in your local store, check next to the regular body bar soap... it might just happen to be there! LOL. </i><br />
<br />
<i><b>Directions:</b></i><br />
Grate the bar soap on a fine cheese grater over a medium bowl. The soap will dry out if you unwrap it and leave it out for a couple days previous and it will grate a little easier, not much (so you don't have to do this) but a little.<br />
<br />
Next add the Borax, the Arm & Hammer washing soda and if you are using the oxygen bleach, throw that in the bowl too and stir until it's well blended. Put your mixture in a blender and mix <b>1 cup at a time</b> on high until you have a fine powder. Pour the powder in an air tight container. Repeat blending the rest one cup at a time until all of the detergent is done! Store in your air tight container until you are ready to use it!<br />
<br />
If you want to make a big batch, giver! Double the recipe and you are good to go! <br />
<br />
And guess what? You barely even need to use any! Awesome!!! <br />
<br />
<b></b>Use 1 tablespoon per load. If laundry is really dirty, use 2 tablespoons. <br />
<br />
Enjoy!<br />

Seriously, I don't care who says making homemade remedies is stupid or a waste of time (honestly, some of my friends laugh at me...) they are WRONG ... and I just laugh at them cuz really, I'm the one that's saving in the long run!<br />
<br />
This recipe doesn't take too much to make, you will be doing your laundry with this wicked softener in no time! Seriously, no time. I think from start to end it took me a total of 8 minutes... and I was taking my sweet @ss time! <br />
<br />
<i><b>What you need: </b></i><br />
2 cups of Hair Conditioner (Scent of your choice)<br />
3 cups of Distilled White Vinegar<br />
6 cups Boiling water<br />
<br />
<i><b>Note: </b>Remember when choosing which conditioner you are going to use -> that is what your fabric softener is going to smell like. If you like coconut, berries or lavender... get a conditioner that smell like it. Now... you can't beat that... cuz there isn't the biggest selection of different scents of detergent in the store</i>s... <i>at least I don't think so anyway.</i><br />
<br />
Pour the 6 cups of boiling in water into a big mixing bowl. You can use cold water, many recipes you will notice call for cold water.... I use hot water, it mixes the ingredients much better, which means... Less stirring! After the water, add the conditioner, then the vinegar and stir! <br />
<br />
I have been using this for awhile now and I LOVE it! I love how you can make it the scent you want! Mmmm. Nothing like fresh smelling laundry! Oh and don't worry, it does not come out smelling of vinegar.... as long as you don't add too much!<br />
<br />
Enjoy!<br />

I saw this awesome cool idea on how to make garden stepping stones. I have no where for this... but I definitely want to try this when I go up to my Moms. Or I'll make it and give one to my mom! No matter what, I'm trying it! SOON!<br />
<br />
You need quite a few supplies for this creation... but it could definitely make for a fun afternoon with the girls! <br />

Okay, as good as a banana smoothie sounds right about now, you can't drink it... you just can't. It's not your regular smoothie ladies and gents... it goes in your hair... your hair wants to drink it too, so let it get the goodies for once and you be the jealous one! LOL!
<br />
<br />
If your hair is dry or overworked like mine has been lately, treat your hair with this banana smoothie hair mask, let the banana's moisture your hair and leave it with a mad shine! Do this when you have an extra half hour to an hour to spare, like at night... while you are on the PC or watching t.v. One of the best things... you probably have everything you need... you won't even have to go to the store! <br />
<br />
<i><b>Here's what you will need:</b></i><br />
1 mashed banana<br />
1 egg<br />
3 tablespoons milk <br />
4 tablespoons olive oil <br />
3 tablespoons honey<br />
1 bowl<br />
1 comb <br />
<ul>
</ul>
Get out a bowl and combine all the ingredients one by one, mixing it well. Once mixed to your satisfaction, using a comb, apply the mask to your hair from the roots to the ends.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4osIdSo74MA5YjjT19E_tEY6zqGXI_OL7p_whUS1d9_DIJI2n8CRuJXAVWn8dFtcCbvqj7ADf1yUGCZuvWy5xJvr6K_75vyO-ivtl9j733YGhDIXPgGFPYybQ6sgzYSwfKAQ0sXNPpl0/s1600/diy-banana-smoothie-hair-mask-mix-it.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4osIdSo74MA5YjjT19E_tEY6zqGXI_OL7p_whUS1d9_DIJI2n8CRuJXAVWn8dFtcCbvqj7ADf1yUGCZuvWy5xJvr6K_75vyO-ivtl9j733YGhDIXPgGFPYybQ6sgzYSwfKAQ0sXNPpl0/s400/diy-banana-smoothie-hair-mask-mix-it.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Leave the mask on to soak into your hair for about fifteen to thirty minutes. The longer you wait, the better it works. So if your hair is really damaged, you will want to leave it on for a full thirty minutes.<br />
<br />
Rinse out the mask with cold water (we learned that). Once the Banana Smoothie mixture is completely rinsed out of your hair, you can shampoo and conditioner as usual.<br />
<br />
Style your hair as you normally do, do you notice the difference?? Do this mask when you notice your hair is getting dry again. It varies with different types of hair. Or you can do the treatment weekly for best results.<br />

</script>Bored of the ever familiar tote bag that you can get from every store? Need something to carry a few items home from the market on the weekend but want something different than every body else? Well, I did... so I decided to make this "no sew" tote bag. And it's made from no other than a pillow case!<br />
<br />
There are sooo many great things you can do with a pillow case... this is just one of them! When I get my sewing machine back I think I want to make a dress.<br />
<br />
These bags are so fabulous because it involves no sewing machine (which at the moment, I am unfortunately without one) to make them! All of the stitches are already there! So go grab a pillowcase and get ready to go! If you don't want to leave it the way it is... maybe it's to blah for you....grab your paint and sponge and add a design to your bag! I'm going to skip that step, but if you are feeling creative... have fun with it!! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisQ5OixwcxIgmg4tEuA6JzsQfkjXDTlfZj9CoPhvOMDbGGmec7okbhZcor_IC7x9uRGcztC8f0kG718XLVZz2f9unxo1C2byPJGOBbJmVwOB-4mh43R09vKGXGgwAUDTkfwuyk37UUq0o/s1600/DSCF5826.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisQ5OixwcxIgmg4tEuA6JzsQfkjXDTlfZj9CoPhvOMDbGGmec7okbhZcor_IC7x9uRGcztC8f0kG718XLVZz2f9unxo1C2byPJGOBbJmVwOB-4mh43R09vKGXGgwAUDTkfwuyk37UUq0o/s400/DSCF5826.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<i><b>Here's what you need:</b></i><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Pillowcase (I used a standard size bag. Use king size case for a bigger bag)<br />
Strip of Long Fabric (Strap)<br />
Scissors or an X-acto knife<br />
Acrylic Paint and Sponge (For pattern)</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><i><br /></i></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<i><b>And what you do:</b></i><br />
Lay the pillowcase down on a flat surface with the open end facing towards you.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOV4ZrfaGiprsIBtM1yVb7-dwx624yv7htQECghoTGnNuEW4u4EIlc7bteLxQOp3K8d0oOKgMOmWPWajMoplz4WWfuX02pGGm2CMa_Lytww3ZyhKjx4EvBNyaSMeg-n5RtWXCk8vSUTJs/s1600/DSCF5828.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOV4ZrfaGiprsIBtM1yVb7-dwx624yv7htQECghoTGnNuEW4u4EIlc7bteLxQOp3K8d0oOKgMOmWPWajMoplz4WWfuX02pGGm2CMa_Lytww3ZyhKjx4EvBNyaSMeg-n5RtWXCk8vSUTJs/s400/DSCF5828.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Then
grab the open end side of the pillowcase and fold it about half way up. If you are using a standard size pillowcase, you are going to want to fold it a little over half (see picture below).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggnSbsRicpGnlmaNcgy98Kicb1lcZ5T1YhmPqOAYfire9SNitMsITgkj58pxjuVKzaCk2kGHM3ejc1N5XU2lntPapeuBqOl0XqP_sgKuS6yffUACKWq41UE8Mlp454qXMqEq056IN-Xoo/s1600/diy-tote-bag.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="316" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggnSbsRicpGnlmaNcgy98Kicb1lcZ5T1YhmPqOAYfire9SNitMsITgkj58pxjuVKzaCk2kGHM3ejc1N5XU2lntPapeuBqOl0XqP_sgKuS6yffUACKWq41UE8Mlp454qXMqEq056IN-Xoo/s400/diy-tote-bag.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
If you are going to add a design to your tote bag, now is the time to do it. If you are going to use a sponge, cut out your shape you want to use from a dish sponge, dab it in paint and place the desired design on your bag. If you are doing straight lines, use painters or masking tape if you aren't comfortable free hand painting your lines. Wait for the paint to completely dry before moving on to the next step.<br />
<br />
Next is the strap. Cut small holes on both sides of the pillowcase
where the open end meets the back layer, making sure you cut through all the layers.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibgA9IIzBQpwCFvBqlqVog2PRqgiHKhj9h2T9ZEjUQNjo3Cx3CoBCpi0ZHH74udUTecr27ZAGO2eY9j36pQ-TRmlsCS3cXf2ZIt1I9g-f5HBJ5uSDbnsqC45rrAtP3Vk0f2mLxtbaPF3I/s1600/DSCF5833.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibgA9IIzBQpwCFvBqlqVog2PRqgiHKhj9h2T9ZEjUQNjo3Cx3CoBCpi0ZHH74udUTecr27ZAGO2eY9j36pQ-TRmlsCS3cXf2ZIt1I9g-f5HBJ5uSDbnsqC45rrAtP3Vk0f2mLxtbaPF3I/s400/DSCF5833.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Stuff the ends of the fabric in the holes and knot it on both sides. I used 3 pieces of fabric and braided them together. Then I took the ends, stuck them through the holes and knotted them together.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjs8BOEVYZA9f0lXtNftYMxU1v_FwLQ0msG5ktY5YZ6i0GU2apDCtR5sLVv_pAmKjr2Rbigc2tCCc8TOqM3Jn6Xbsw64tSbZbP9rZIG6pvfjFJBbqIzINOgZsM_LscpZzVp3tedVeSAllI/s1600/DSCF5840.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjs8BOEVYZA9f0lXtNftYMxU1v_FwLQ0msG5ktY5YZ6i0GU2apDCtR5sLVv_pAmKjr2Rbigc2tCCc8TOqM3Jn6Xbsw64tSbZbP9rZIG6pvfjFJBbqIzINOgZsM_LscpZzVp3tedVeSAllI/s400/DSCF5840.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Almost done, super easy huh?<br />
<br />
Turn your bag over. Take the two bottom corners and fold them diagonally, bringing them together so the ends touch. Cut a small hole in each of the corners and place a small piece of fabric through and secure with a knot. Make sure you only cut holes in the corner pieces and not the other part of your bag!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjf8eurCY-I1C2GWC_2qLE5EU1PFF5N6RkxD-svVp7pajaDQUEHNbhAlOQa8oOOv-1uFI4aajVnVCdIwmyceKmhS2pF_Ycj8vQcJJtmN6LSMoRl8TeyXe20USneFAQmya0uUOcuyRkgzEE/s1600/DSCF5843.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjf8eurCY-I1C2GWC_2qLE5EU1PFF5N6RkxD-svVp7pajaDQUEHNbhAlOQa8oOOv-1uFI4aajVnVCdIwmyceKmhS2pF_Ycj8vQcJJtmN6LSMoRl8TeyXe20USneFAQmya0uUOcuyRkgzEE/s400/DSCF5843.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
If you want a tassel or button or clip on your bag, scrunch up the front and tie fabric in a knot with pieces hanging out or sew a big button on!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvONhg7e5_hSY2CBDqzJ4wC3JR-qYuZxEDXTnwuyV8LPGGXsJOi_bhXDg-PmGebQJO2S_WW2NrmFN3150iRsoUP31Rhz2-TaBwV4QptUyhMnHREKeNGN2TKgv5dXZlD4JH0aBHMAi7ujs/s1600/DSCF5845.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvONhg7e5_hSY2CBDqzJ4wC3JR-qYuZxEDXTnwuyV8LPGGXsJOi_bhXDg-PmGebQJO2S_WW2NrmFN3150iRsoUP31Rhz2-TaBwV4QptUyhMnHREKeNGN2TKgv5dXZlD4JH0aBHMAi7ujs/s400/DSCF5845.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Now, it`s time to head to the mall and fill this bad boy up!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEief3xA5kS70ZU8n4_o_h7d_77DGG5f7FHGgKfx9LX2CGwhTDshjlPuX5-ZCrLVWb-ObPEc-mFyRXc8MGfMqIXuQWTyaPznyUi3INM3hIgfj0rx9FC6ENLoEzwpeCLU6efncZzemU626RE/s1600/tote.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEief3xA5kS70ZU8n4_o_h7d_77DGG5f7FHGgKfx9LX2CGwhTDshjlPuX5-ZCrLVWb-ObPEc-mFyRXc8MGfMqIXuQWTyaPznyUi3INM3hIgfj0rx9FC6ENLoEzwpeCLU6efncZzemU626RE/s400/tote.jpg" width="353" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
Make sure the straps are tied in very tight knots. You
wouldn`t want your bag falling apart and everything fall out of it when
you are down town!!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbGJSELse3j3IfMj9fV68rZQ3gyZrm-2PruioredxphNbfDbGghHg_t_He92oVDYLNNzKfgAFUAur3mrch1ItGySbP83yR8ybBfF_8s7T6uludvHzPPigRTxpNadsGYrnRXZ2t3LqJcNU/s1600/DSCF5848.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbGJSELse3j3IfMj9fV68rZQ3gyZrm-2PruioredxphNbfDbGghHg_t_He92oVDYLNNzKfgAFUAur3mrch1ItGySbP83yR8ybBfF_8s7T6uludvHzPPigRTxpNadsGYrnRXZ2t3LqJcNU/s400/DSCF5848.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I'm actually impressed.. It holds a heavy enough load! Woohoo!!!<br />

Now a days tonnes of us having iPhones. And as you all know iPhone cases can get pretty darn expensive! All of the cool designs are expensive and I cannot justify spending that much money on a case for my phone. I still want a kick ass cover though, so, you gotta improvise! <br />
<br />
<i><b>What you need:</b></i><br />
Clear hard iPhone case<br />
Scrapbook or decorative paper<br />
Scissors<br />
Pen<br />
<br />
<i><b>Note: </b>The clear iPhone cases are definitely a lot cheaper than ones with designs on them. You can sometimes find clear hard cover cases at the Dollarama. If you have an ebay account, you can get them for under $2. And remember: you only need one clear one... since you can change it up as many times as you want!!!! </i><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIN2pIEB2I8s_h2tGY0-y5hSScEG1z_W2lrOnt_KsaLRqNUacDrZ9xrZOAJheiL4HKSm5jOYl2fY0DGGMip2cphSKesVdCNt7S50ihcLWfHIdJBag9Db2-SwKNY4vZe00SZxVMDD99sBY/s1600/diy-cell-phone-case.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="325" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIN2pIEB2I8s_h2tGY0-y5hSScEG1z_W2lrOnt_KsaLRqNUacDrZ9xrZOAJheiL4HKSm5jOYl2fY0DGGMip2cphSKesVdCNt7S50ihcLWfHIdJBag9Db2-SwKNY4vZe00SZxVMDD99sBY/s400/diy-cell-phone-case.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<i><b>What you do:</b></i><br />
Turn whatever paper you decide to use upside down and trace around your iphone with your pen and cut your tracing out. Make sure you round the edges.<br />
<br />
Place the cut out in the hard iPhone case to make sure that it fits and trim any excess paper if necessary.<br />
<br />
Put your cut out and your iPhone in the hard case and trace around the camera hole (tracing it on the right side of the paper). Take everything back out and cut out the camera hole with a pair of scissors or an x-acto knife. Put everything back in your case and it's ready to use!! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-c9h5juzUsxe7BAehcIAACmaaZwYxO6pgMdOBUHBTrGftwI6eNenqc0B5k75UrHOWHxbjreHnQAGfhDMuRYcbky0dRbZPtBvhkA9lQsa8VcJrndYZzT2YAoY5uGPBoLw6Vy1zAWQ-zFE/s1600/diy-iphone-case.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-c9h5juzUsxe7BAehcIAACmaaZwYxO6pgMdOBUHBTrGftwI6eNenqc0B5k75UrHOWHxbjreHnQAGfhDMuRYcbky0dRbZPtBvhkA9lQsa8VcJrndYZzT2YAoY5uGPBoLw6Vy1zAWQ-zFE/s400/diy-iphone-case.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
And the best
part about it is: When you get bored, switch up the paper!!! No gluing
makes it changeable! You can have one for every day of the week, every
outfit... whatever your mood! It's great! And a heck of a lot cheaper
than going and buying all those cases! <br />

Mmmm, I love making things SO good that you could almost eat them... like these bath cookies! Well, I wouldn't eat them, but they made me want cookies SO bad that I made Kev whip up a batch of his famous cookies. I ate about a dozen. Now I'm bloated and huge and feel bad. Oh well, it's the weekend right?... You are allowed to indulge on the weekend! Just means I gotta work out super hard tomorrow!<br />
<br />
These bath cookies make a great gift as well! Do up a cute little gift basket for your girl friend or your Mom. Keep some for yourself while you are at it. Make a double batch and give them to all the ladies at work for x-mas or whatever!! Make a label with directions and a picture! They will love it!<br />

<br />
You all probably have the first few ingredients in your home, but might not have the oils. The good thing about them is once you get them, they last you for awhile... and there are all sorts of goodies you can make with them, so they are definitely worth it to buy! <br />
<br />
<i><b>Mats:</b></i><br />
2 cups of Sea Salt / Rock Salt<br />
1/2 cup Cornstarch<br />
1/2 cup Baking Soda
<br />
1 egg<br />
1 tsp Vitamin E Oil
<br />
2 tbs of Almond Oil<br />
6 drops Essential Oil (whatever you prefer, I loooove my Vanilla)<br />
<br />
<b>Optional: Add white or chocolate chips or oatmeal to your mix (or anything really) - Approx. 2 tbsp </b><br />
<br />
<i><b>Note: </b>Makes approximately a dozen cookies, depending on size.</i><b> </b><br />
<br />
<i><b>Deets:</b></i> <br />
Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl. Make the dough into balls and flatten them out to resemble a cookie on a cookie sheet. Or you can roll out the dough (put flour down first) and cut out cookies with cookie cutters. Place the tray of cookies in the oven and bake at 350 F for 10 to 12 minutes. Once they are cooked, allow them to cool.<br />
<br />
Once the cookies are dry place them in air tight packages or an air tight container. They will last for months! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Who knew something so beautiful could be made from toilet paper rolls! I've always wanted to make something out of TP rolls, but I just have never gotten around to it yet. Until now, I decided. I really need something for the empty wall in my dining room and I thought a design out of the rolls would look awesome!<br />
<br />
The only thing I haven't decided yet is if I want to make it look like rustic metal or paint a colour or two... I honestly think colours are one of my biggest challenges. I never know what colours to pick.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmi8xI_tTDKdbOFp4DNZH-jVkujUVLj-KAUfueMAwqTrzDpl6ntjoWZ6ko8MEhtcZ3DsvnqbQipvyKIGaRF6ReKHtHzBdnHtTXvb9BC5hZB6iRx4nQP_bxuKlN1vip-XDABgs2Ckn3WPM/s1600/DSCF5733.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmi8xI_tTDKdbOFp4DNZH-jVkujUVLj-KAUfueMAwqTrzDpl6ntjoWZ6ko8MEhtcZ3DsvnqbQipvyKIGaRF6ReKHtHzBdnHtTXvb9BC5hZB6iRx4nQP_bxuKlN1vip-XDABgs2Ckn3WPM/s400/DSCF5733.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
You don't need much for this project at all. TP rolls, scissors, paint and glue.<br />
<br />
Deciding how many toilet paper rolls you need all depends on how big you want your art to be. The bigger the art, the more rolls you area going to need. One roll will get you 5 "petals". That's what we are going to call them, because to me, that's what they look like, lol. You can also use paper towel rolls, which are bigger so will get you more petals. Once you have enough toilet paper rolls for your project, you can start cutting them. Squish the toilet paper roll down so it is flat (see picture below). Like I said before you can get 5 petals from one TP roll. Cut out as many petals as you need.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjelOyYRLaLSo6KgZ5QxqkR6AJO1VGRi-sXLGYlitqNn3rxxLDt_VM7lIgfW_vAfmR_LbB2enUWeKggOIZDXiD6hyphenhyphenRHrsuC9TrnidNrQeAXZXASx3fFJhi9cjsCX5nmsk4r86nPDhkDjW0/s1600/DSCF5737.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjelOyYRLaLSo6KgZ5QxqkR6AJO1VGRi-sXLGYlitqNn3rxxLDt_VM7lIgfW_vAfmR_LbB2enUWeKggOIZDXiD6hyphenhyphenRHrsuC9TrnidNrQeAXZXASx3fFJhi9cjsCX5nmsk4r86nPDhkDjW0/s400/DSCF5737.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Take your petals and start making a design. Move them around until you find a design that works for you!<br />

<br />
Once you have a design in mind, take a picture so you remember what it looks like and decide whether or not you are painting them. If you are, now is the time to do it! I decided to paint mine black and pink. Half way through I decided I wanted a bit of gold in there too, so I painted the outside and then the inside and let them dry.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgP62vyvr6fn0dolFgFjOMztaCKre9ApNqQcUdBrOq2qpjLmqmxFqd2tcCelyZqL7I1RNEqLVXaAnXNqSPkvFdBdOKHJP0hJsI_q9iwAuzq6sYXpToWNutCpqA7G-PJB7ZMfOs0Um9giss/s1600/DSCF5777.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgP62vyvr6fn0dolFgFjOMztaCKre9ApNqQcUdBrOq2qpjLmqmxFqd2tcCelyZqL7I1RNEqLVXaAnXNqSPkvFdBdOKHJP0hJsI_q9iwAuzq6sYXpToWNutCpqA7G-PJB7ZMfOs0Um9giss/s400/DSCF5777.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Get out your camera and resort to the picture you took previously of your design and start to lay out your petals to match the picture! As you can see, mine looks nothing like the first picture, haha, but I knew that was going to happen, it usually does! If you are using a hot glue gun, start to heat it up, it's almost gluing time!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNv8vkl1caDTSHzMC3L9yA8Ry8We2iSrssYQM302ukbLsn_gXQoYyFiXP1zwMNHBN9H0j_tsMyk2zUBdiLuU13NnnNqiEy74BDWHJoe891vTlMyXk-nHihCA4HiruWd-kHwluH4iexF4c/s1600/DSCF5789.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNv8vkl1caDTSHzMC3L9yA8Ry8We2iSrssYQM302ukbLsn_gXQoYyFiXP1zwMNHBN9H0j_tsMyk2zUBdiLuU13NnnNqiEy74BDWHJoe891vTlMyXk-nHihCA4HiruWd-kHwluH4iexF4c/s400/DSCF5789.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<u><b>Note: </b></u><b>If you don't want to use glue, you can use staples. I prefer glue.</b><br />
<br />
Glue your petals together one by one. If you are making a design, you might not be gluing all your flowers together. If that is the case, start to glue your design, petal by petal and link it all as one. If you are doing all flowers like I am, you can create all your flowers first, petal by petal, and then glue them together.<br />
<br />
Once your design is in place and secured with glue, let it dry before hanging it up. If you stapled it, you can skip the drying part! Duh!<br />
<b> </b><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEha6SuNu-jqC7V17WMez3j6NnUWkHrYiDCpw2GC19lOnfQ0H6nlUcnAydbOTsaOvmT_z8PQv7IBc38_NfqVzr-TsNSpYL2Lok3w7wz3qWNavA8tree3TvE9r0RT2XRZ-Ydm-bUtNrjmNMA/s1600/diy-toilet-paper-roll-flower-wall-art.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="356" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEha6SuNu-jqC7V17WMez3j6NnUWkHrYiDCpw2GC19lOnfQ0H6nlUcnAydbOTsaOvmT_z8PQv7IBc38_NfqVzr-TsNSpYL2Lok3w7wz3qWNavA8tree3TvE9r0RT2XRZ-Ydm-bUtNrjmNMA/s640/diy-toilet-paper-roll-flower-wall-art.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<b> </b><br />
I put 3 little finishing nails in the wall and hung my flower wall art up above the doorway in the hallway! I think it looks awesome! I'm glad I didn't do it any bigger like I was going too... then it would have been just a little too big!<br />

I have curly, thick hair. And I have frizzies. Especially when it's hot and humid like it has been for the last couple weeks.<b> </b>I used to straighten my hair daily, but with this heat I couldn't be bothered. It started at the end of May this year! Ridiculous!!! But the frizzies come out two times as bad when my hair is curly, so I need product to help keep them under control. John Frieda works GREAT! Problem is... it's expensive... and such little bottles. Every single serum that seemed to be any good was at a salon for $20 to $30 bucks or at Walmart for $10 to $20. Argh! Go figure, that's just my luck. Especially when I'm not working! I was lucky and got a few samples in the mail, but they only lasted a little while (just like all my other serums)! So I looked into ways to make it. And of course, I wanna share them with you! <br />
<br />
Here are a few home remedies to try on your hair if you have the fly aways! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqP9p9b40PggOgQMAYYOxPsmdDMFtIJ2xmkhbH8916RQ6jexpTATRmMHAa6C9yD-n_DN3FlVi0tvzX9a4az_Oll1uZGko1O-G9T9nKbtvSFIyFqePBKZRtxCbD8Hn7eDxUjpUxKSet4NQ/s1600/sparkling-water-frizzy-hair-rinse.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqP9p9b40PggOgQMAYYOxPsmdDMFtIJ2xmkhbH8916RQ6jexpTATRmMHAa6C9yD-n_DN3FlVi0tvzX9a4az_Oll1uZGko1O-G9T9nKbtvSFIyFqePBKZRtxCbD8Hn7eDxUjpUxKSet4NQ/s320/sparkling-water-frizzy-hair-rinse.jpg" width="120" /></a></div>
<br />
<b><i>A Carbonated Water Rinse </i></b><br />
<b></b>For those of you who
let your curls
air dry (this is me), this is a great remedy for you to eliminate hair
frizz caused by
humidity. After you wash your hair (both shampoo & conditioner if
need be), give it a final rinse with sparkling or carbonated water. They
will both reduce frizz because of it’s low pH level. <br />

<br />
<i><b style="font-weight: normal;"><b>Olive Oil or Coconut Oil </b></b></i><br />
I'm sure most of us have olive oil in the house. Some, have coconut oil too. You can use whichever you prefer... either way - oil fights the frizzies like you wouldn't believe!<br />
To whip up some oil conditioner, all you have to do is heat up one cup of oil (whichever you prefer, or have) in a glass jar. You can do this in the microwave. While warm, wet your hair and apply your mixture evenly throughout your hair. Do not wash it out! Cover your hair with a shower cap (or plastic bag if you don't have a cap) and wrap a hot towel around your head to
increase moisture absorption. Keep this in your hair and your towel warm on your head for approximately 30 minutes. You need steady heat from your towel, so you will have to reheat it once or twice in the process. After you have let your hair absorb the mixture, shampoo and rinse your
hair with cold water and style as normal.<br />
<br />
<i><b>Note: </b>Add an egg to your oil, the egg contains L-cysteine, a natural amino acid that helps with building cells and repairing tissue.</i><br />

<br />
<i><b>Mayonnaise and Avocado Conditioner</b></i><br />
Dry frizzy hair? This one's for you! Mix 1 cup of
mayonnaise with 1/2 an avocado until you have a paste. Rub it throughout your hair distributing evenly and cover your head with a shower cap or plastic bag. Wrap a warm towel around your head and leave on for 20 minutes and wash out. <br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<i><b>Apple Cider Vinegar</b></i> <i><b></b></i><br />
I'm sure you might have all heard of this remedy before. I remember doing this when I was a little kid. Well my Mom helped me. But it's definitely been around for awhile. This prevents frizzies and will give your hair a nice shine. Two in one, friggin eh!! And it works great!
Get a bowl or a water bottle and mix
equal parts water and apple cider vinegar. I'd go a cup and a cup, or half and half, depending on how much hair you have! Wash your hair as per usual but give it a final rinse with your mixture! <br />
<br />
<i><b>White Vinegar</b></i> <br />
Smooth and flatten your hair cuticles by combing white vinegar through washed hair with a comb. Then condition your hair as usual.
When rinsing your hair, use water as cold as you can bear. Using cold water helps lock down the cuticle and
makes hair appear slicker and smoother.<br />
<br />

<br />
<i><b>Honey - After Shampoo Rinse </b></i><br />
<br />
<section class="section"><div class="description ">
Mix
1 tablespoon of honey with 1 quart of water. Pour your mixture through your shampooed
hair while it's still wet. Rinse out and condition as per usual. Honey will attract and hold water molecules and can help to
moisturize your hair.</div>
<div class="description ">
<br /></div>
<div class="description ">
Hopefully you found a remedy to help you out! I'm sure out of one of these, you will find one that suits you. And remember even though I said conditioner after some of these procedures, you will notice you won't always have too. Enjoy!</div>

A big thanks to my man's Mom for this one. She's been busy making mats out of milk bags for the last couple years now. It's a great time waster while watching t.v. or sitting outside, you don't really have to think about what you are doing! lol
<br />
<br />
So, she made one for us last year and I decided I so badly wanted to try to make one... especially since they were apparently oh so easy and any basic crocheter would be able to do it! Awesome, cuz I haven't crocheted in years!<br />
<br />
<i><b>What you need:</b></i><br />
Milk Bags, Cut into one big long strip (Quite a lot, so start saving) *See Note Below*<br />
Big Crochet Hook<br />
Scissors<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAsBmSqNkYJMzxFDN2TcP4UkGTv3ZHw48PNF3mapkxcdkBl3Wi-A_xXKscP5jFUwu8RpfkdZ26-uc6aiI8hIKqMACsxwoFKFDIbYL2qk9ochBb87ZCY1gUJm6WBVUEbm7Qv0AnqEF5zDk/s1600/DSCF5817.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAsBmSqNkYJMzxFDN2TcP4UkGTv3ZHw48PNF3mapkxcdkBl3Wi-A_xXKscP5jFUwu8RpfkdZ26-uc6aiI8hIKqMACsxwoFKFDIbYL2qk9ochBb87ZCY1gUJm6WBVUEbm7Qv0AnqEF5zDk/s400/DSCF5817.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<i><b>Note: </b>We got our milk bags cut because there is a church that gets them donated for Milk Bag projects for Haiti. There is a cool way to cut them so that your milk bag comes out in one long strip. I have not had to figure that out yet. When we do, we will post it here. If you know or figure it out, please, let me know!! I believe you fold your bag so it looks like it's in strips and you cut diagonal lines? But don't quote me on that... Okay, this is really bugging me now, I sense a project coming up!</i><br />
<i><br /></i><br />
<i>I have seen others just cut the bags in strips and tightly knot them together making one long strip. You can do it with a lot of short strips too, it would just be more knotting or linking the strips in to your mat.</i><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiw209LpHlYvnbfr28C7Nk8F5q_-oIK7exjxjksAh4yHhzu-nriYXUzB1ihMhesliIkYKWZtc6AVJmwpJgJfgil9RW2yaPvoDwHGrIsBFfq03MsufhKohwN3BhB3BVkurzPnX9QlyULR0g/s1600/DSCF5819.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiw209LpHlYvnbfr28C7Nk8F5q_-oIK7exjxjksAh4yHhzu-nriYXUzB1ihMhesliIkYKWZtc6AVJmwpJgJfgil9RW2yaPvoDwHGrIsBFfq03MsufhKohwN3BhB3BVkurzPnX9QlyULR0g/s400/DSCF5819.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<i><b>What you do:</b></i><br />
<br />
<b><i>Note: </i></b><i>Depending on how big of a mat you want to make, depends how many chains you are going to crochet. But here is a quick guide to help get you started. </i><b><br /></b><br />
<br />
<b>20"x30" Mat - Starting Chain 23 - About 9 inches</b><br />
<br />
<b>18"x27" Mat - Starting Chain 20 - About 8 inches</b><br />
<br />
<b>To Start:</b><br />
Using 2 strips of milk bag (only for the 1st time, you will always only use 1 strip afterwards), start your chain of 23 (or 20). Turn on 2nd chain from hook and single crochet around the chain, increasing twice at each end. Continue to single crochet around, increasing only at ends and as required to keep rug flat. You don't have to increase at every end every time. Only when the mat starts to fold inwards. If the rug begins to turn up, it is because it requires more frequent increasing at ends. Be sure not to increase at the same point every time, it will form an undesirable pattern. Work a slip stitch over the last row for improved edge.<br />
<br />
I hope you understood that... I think that was my very first time explaining crocheting! lol <br />
<br />
You can keep going as big as you like. Sometimes I get lost in it while watching t.v and I just keep going and going and going, lol. Once you are done, put it outside on your balcony, or in your kitchen. Kev uses his to sit on while he goes fishing! They are awesome!<br />

If you don't have any old shirts to use... Go raid the hubby's closet for this one ladies! Cuz this one is a hot one!! This 3 Braided Back Racer Tee is perfect for a bathing suit cover up for when you are at the beach! It also makes a nice shirt, although you have to get it the right size. My man is too big, so his clothes always end up being cover ups... for this t-shirt to be nice and form fitting you would want to go a size bigger than what you are. <br />
<br />
You don't need a sewing machine for this sexy shirt either! You will be out and wearing it and looking good in no time at all!<br />
<br />
<i><b>What you need:</b></i><br />
V- Neck T-Shirt<br />
Scissors<br />
Needle & Thread (that match shirt)<br />
Marking Tool (chalk, pencil, marker, etc)<br />
<br />
<i><b>What you do:</b></i><br />
Cut off both sleeves of the shirt. Draw the line you want to cut on the shirt if you don't feel comfortable free hand cutting. You are going to want to end (or start) whichever way you cut, right beside the collar line. See picture below. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUilCVmao-XitTVIQqCAu065Y8oUEA1fVI-dhziXCLbdmbJsn-C5yUHh-1pLUy98QGE6fN99Pl6q-v37KUMBccg933U_cThjMF4oEmw09COS5ZNvsJi_kzaikzshkT3An48MIfK7nlRv0/s1600/DSCF5703.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUilCVmao-XitTVIQqCAu065Y8oUEA1fVI-dhziXCLbdmbJsn-C5yUHh-1pLUy98QGE6fN99Pl6q-v37KUMBccg933U_cThjMF4oEmw09COS5ZNvsJi_kzaikzshkT3An48MIfK7nlRv0/s400/DSCF5703.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
Turn your shirt over so the front is facing down and you are working on the back of the shirt. Cut the collar so it's only attached at the front and the back is free. I accidentally cut mine off (as you can see from the picture below), but I can just stitch it on, no biggie, I'm just a clutz and sometimes don't think when I am doing things. LOL. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0JnwdMmnN4u5P66f-_bYE4i-bM_iwKZsCPoWen_PPon2IPE577zlinmIv0lIBpg-WYayrCPZgxhGCeZkioYQuguVJQj1pDuxNE3kksbh0axiZKHI0eudCv8ZsCd7l-NyN3uOwIpQ3WHg/s1600/DSCF5704.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0JnwdMmnN4u5P66f-_bYE4i-bM_iwKZsCPoWen_PPon2IPE577zlinmIv0lIBpg-WYayrCPZgxhGCeZkioYQuguVJQj1pDuxNE3kksbh0axiZKHI0eudCv8ZsCd7l-NyN3uOwIpQ3WHg/s400/DSCF5704.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
Cut two strips down the back, this will create three equal strips down the back of your shirt. (I folded the front of the shirt down so it was easier for you guys to see what I mean). If you want more of your back to show, cut out bigger chunks of fabric (that's what I did).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsv2UzfRqHjNeMNnVH8i4Zpkn4-Ri03K400zNsBOC-nee5_d5Nuu6Ml6xT10JwDC084mwQ3lqKmeJNNw748vejV5Sk57MrIF2LQ4v7z4RgRthKasc6I1ynIJ6X988pdkOGjmgLPCeBZhs/s1600/DSCF5705.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsv2UzfRqHjNeMNnVH8i4Zpkn4-Ri03K400zNsBOC-nee5_d5Nuu6Ml6xT10JwDC084mwQ3lqKmeJNNw748vejV5Sk57MrIF2LQ4v7z4RgRthKasc6I1ynIJ6X988pdkOGjmgLPCeBZhs/s400/DSCF5705.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
Right on, now we are ready to braid. I work in sections for this part cutting one strip in to three at a time... this way you don't have 9 strips of fabric and it's less confusing working with just the 3.<br />
<br />
Take your first strip and cut it in to 3 strips. Tug on the strips causing them to stretch and curl up and start to braid. Repeat for other 2 strips.<br />
<br />
Once you have your three braids, stitch them to the underside of the collar. Trim off the excess material and you are ready to rock this top! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiPO_dqjHuGCTfuKhCq_2f2E_vgoXaTiWhqI3NHAnPc9gwaPRW5uM0-sc7ObqClR3EipgWvmZkJ4bDvYnjUFn5pJlfatOKxD5CwxQq8SwDSBkFfkbuEvSlwv0E2dzzxsE4sbfJ-GEboWA/s1600/DSCF5706.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiPO_dqjHuGCTfuKhCq_2f2E_vgoXaTiWhqI3NHAnPc9gwaPRW5uM0-sc7ObqClR3EipgWvmZkJ4bDvYnjUFn5pJlfatOKxD5CwxQq8SwDSBkFfkbuEvSlwv0E2dzzxsE4sbfJ-GEboWA/s400/DSCF5706.JPG" width="400" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Don't mind the mess! LOL. A little big, but like I said before, if it's too big for you as a shirt, wear it as a beach cover up!!! I like it big, it looks cute with a pair of stretchies! Next time, I'd do this with a medium not an XL, hehe.</div>

Lately it seems I've been into thinking of ways to re-use stuff that would otherwise get thrown out. Everywhere you look there are more and more ideas coming out of how to reuse and recycle old products.<br />
<br />
So, everyday I am going to try to show at least one DIY project used from recycled materials. Whether it takes me a couple days... or five minutes... it will get done! <br />
<br />
I'm constantly looking for places to put important invitations, cards, dates of appointments, bills, mail, the odd picture...etc, my desk has crap ALL over it. I mean I'm organized, but it gets messy in the mean time if you get what I mean. <br />
<br />
So I took an old hard cover book that I definitely wasn't going to read (I honestly don't even know why I have it) and I started folding the pages in half. Yes! Once this is done it's gonna fan out and I'll have TONS of spots for things... and it will look pretty damn cool on my desk too!!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9BAaniyU6CMrT1Rm3EYS63K9oAzQzHj1109EfF-qgptGzw8uRlLDfRD0aOfx3cMpwEuepKQ6PaFSZ5zFQapMoFe7o4uVu5RPss8ACvX_TAfBtW2L0yMcwPOhyphenhyphenaKVojOwWDSLEnwq_kL4/s1600/DSCF5719.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9BAaniyU6CMrT1Rm3EYS63K9oAzQzHj1109EfF-qgptGzw8uRlLDfRD0aOfx3cMpwEuepKQ6PaFSZ5zFQapMoFe7o4uVu5RPss8ACvX_TAfBtW2L0yMcwPOhyphenhyphenaKVojOwWDSLEnwq_kL4/s400/DSCF5719.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
The more pages, the more slots, but the longer it takes... just remember that! It's not like you are going to fill in every slot anyways, just random ones here and there! And that way you won't spend too much time routing through to find things! Its a great accent piece too, stick a few black and white photos in it and put it on a shelf or something.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjk34oaUo2seuETso76HXJhkQ47IKmCJHkzHjnheOcR2xOOxsnpdO5Kn2wnueQ_uxjzZc3YaWFOTo1K3yHUbLQ72XTSgutxaBdo-yuoMsOaKM8EfMKwXT4X9pkwLvobnX5vCJjXY0-XUR8/s1600/DSCF5717.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjk34oaUo2seuETso76HXJhkQ47IKmCJHkzHjnheOcR2xOOxsnpdO5Kn2wnueQ_uxjzZc3YaWFOTo1K3yHUbLQ72XTSgutxaBdo-yuoMsOaKM8EfMKwXT4X9pkwLvobnX5vCJjXY0-XUR8/s400/DSCF5717.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
But this is definitely another great "non-thinker" project to sit in front of the t.v with. Or go sit outside, instead of reading a book, fold it! lol Yup, that's my great sense of humor! lol.<br />
<br />

Enjoy!<br />

I am in love with wooden lacquer boxes. Problem is... they are expensive as shit and quite frankly I don't have $75 to $200 to spend on boxes! Insane!!!! I mean, I wish I had that kind of money to spend on boxes... but I don't, I have to buy clothes and food and pay bills, lol.
<br />
<br />
I know my boxes will never quite be the exact same as the beautiful lacquer boxes you see on the shelves in stores, but I'm hoping to get darn close. I like to sit in front of the t.v at night at paint, so I love having lots of little projects on the go!<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<i><b>Deets:</b></i><br />
First things first, remove the clasps at the front of the box with your screw driver. Only remove the front, keep the hinges on the back in place. Fill the holes with wood filler. If you don't have any around, you can just use paint (use your base colour). Once the holes that are plugged are dry, sand the box so it gets nice and smooth!!<br />
<br />
Once the box is sanded to your liking, it's time to paint the base coat. Give your box 2 coats of paint (more if needed). <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidtPAPm7fWSRn_D3Duc7EcA-594Ip73NLhhHq7xxEncaksW1Zc2Fk8d5VI2EJVC8NiXyfTRhGv78gIVtf-KkqV0ZCwgB1Mc-0H8t6AfYdV5zm2_m8Q6nTcxe7wJm5Bxs3Qd3YuWigT95A/s1600/DSCF5686.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidtPAPm7fWSRn_D3Duc7EcA-594Ip73NLhhHq7xxEncaksW1Zc2Fk8d5VI2EJVC8NiXyfTRhGv78gIVtf-KkqV0ZCwgB1Mc-0H8t6AfYdV5zm2_m8Q6nTcxe7wJm5Bxs3Qd3YuWigT95A/s400/DSCF5686.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Don't forget to put tape in the opening... you don't want your box to get sealed shut! Once it's fully dry, give it a light sanding to get rid of any brush strokes, paint etc. <br />
<br />
Tape your box with painters tape to form your stripes. (Gurr kinda pissed, when I went to do this it was late (you know... my t.v craft and all) in my PJ's, ready for the tape and I have none!!! Someone forgot to tell me we were out... cough cough. Anyways, thank god for masking tape, but still not the same perfection). Okay, sorry, got off track there.<br />

<br />
Once your tape is on forming the lines, take your base colour and seal the edges of the tape.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhScqPy99br41gigaQffYC3sfa0tYv2pi18wJalsOekoX8PVHFc_3ueQViKWXYd6qV_aQdnVykNQbDec70WdclThbzku546vc3ttdmRMMVdyx0HY4b5C7Hy0n6U6NyQG0AC11bnDRXM55Q/s1600/DSCF5697.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhScqPy99br41gigaQffYC3sfa0tYv2pi18wJalsOekoX8PVHFc_3ueQViKWXYd6qV_aQdnVykNQbDec70WdclThbzku546vc3ttdmRMMVdyx0HY4b5C7Hy0n6U6NyQG0AC11bnDRXM55Q/s400/DSCF5697.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Once dry, paint over it with your stripe colour and fill in the lines! Do as many coats as you need. Once you are done your last coat, peel up the tape (while paint is wet), I find it works best this way!! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXOjIBErmNdEO3P5QGrz-1FQymjpohoC4My2i8VRIcKq9nvL5LdFzPmLL2CHr3QR6vVSyJEyeSu5wdkEULcEJrAqILLJFSaUvRltj15VHkJPsDGYSicTG4R093hAbGRzg-PTlDZwRECqw/s1600/DSCF5700.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXOjIBErmNdEO3P5QGrz-1FQymjpohoC4My2i8VRIcKq9nvL5LdFzPmLL2CHr3QR6vVSyJEyeSu5wdkEULcEJrAqILLJFSaUvRltj15VHkJPsDGYSicTG4R093hAbGRzg-PTlDZwRECqw/s400/DSCF5700.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
You will notice you have to do multiple sittings for the lines. At least I did. Unless you are the master taper, it's just easier that way. Try doing your vertical lines first and then your horizontal, allowing to dry in between.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglB_CoapVL15p5F1zWiy91jOqbLYtQ_Yel21L1E8I3bxHkU0clVK-YoHQYQr6TJ-Ws2_nLkaPhQzbt6hKyJRUv5X3WJfH9azJd43roaewBFGkhjXRh1uF7zLE8qRsRcvg9l6wClRQK4nU/s1600/DSCF5715.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglB_CoapVL15p5F1zWiy91jOqbLYtQ_Yel21L1E8I3bxHkU0clVK-YoHQYQr6TJ-Ws2_nLkaPhQzbt6hKyJRUv5X3WJfH9azJd43roaewBFGkhjXRh1uF7zLE8qRsRcvg9l6wClRQK4nU/s400/DSCF5715.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Once all of your lines are on, it's ready for the gloss/glaze. Give it two coats, allowing to completely dry in between, don't apply your second coat, even if the tad bit sticky. If you don't want the shiny look, you can just leave them matte and not put any final coat on!<br />
<br />
Once dry, they are ready to be shown off! Whether it/they sit on your desk at work or are for decoration at home. Mine's on my desk, cards and sticky notes inside.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9H2yj3EHeED7HWt3Wrjp6yaTe-kHIsxUfBnyAfQ3U4juS2ZJ6TFcomur9EoQ2LsLoBNcIL2CW0jtg7ReGkDCLpIHKaexBkG0BHnyW7CZ4awK4P9MZ03xK7SjKkFdE4lw867G-7Z5u4rI/s1600/diy-faux-lacquer-box-after.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="290" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9H2yj3EHeED7HWt3Wrjp6yaTe-kHIsxUfBnyAfQ3U4juS2ZJ6TFcomur9EoQ2LsLoBNcIL2CW0jtg7ReGkDCLpIHKaexBkG0BHnyW7CZ4awK4P9MZ03xK7SjKkFdE4lw867G-7Z5u4rI/s400/diy-faux-lacquer-box-after.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I know they aren't perfect like the real deal. They aren't as smooth or as lacquer-ish (yes, I make up words) but they aren't as expensive as them either! I love them and think they are perfect and adorable! I'm more in to "look alike copy's" anyways!!<br />

This one is for the kid in you... or for you and the kids. But this does involve fire, so make sure there is always adult supervision when trying this fun project!
<br />
<br />
I remember my dad always making something like this when I was a kid, but I couldn't tell you how the heck to do it. Well now I know. I showed the boyfriend, he loved it. But he loves to blow things up and launch things and fly things... what man doesn't!?!<br />
<br />
All you need to make these Match Rockets are paper matches, a paper
clip, a pin or needle, and a piece of aluminum foil and you are ready to create!<br />

Bobby Pins. I know they are a girls best friend. Or one of them anyway. They go right along side the hair elastic or clip. A girl always needs to have one. It never fails you or one of the girls needs something to hold our hair back!<br />
<br />
I don't know about you but I always try to keep them on that paper thing they come on for the longest time, cuz then they just get thrown somewhere and lost... pretty darn quickly. Until Now! Here are a few perfect ways to store your pins!<br />
<br />
Put your bobby pins in an old Tic Tac container. Keep it in your purse for easy on the go access!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjU_OvoNA4AQgjcspJCrZbCCVsJ0bht5WXBdfn5HXkh474TNCRPQsdSXaZUIcUps_1KHnHM1No4UgW5oxFleRqURv-v2vYfm5s0UgGfj7mUE6mHERL8gvzGY1vHN3gdZYlX7aBVQ8K14uw/s1600/bobby-pins-storage.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjU_OvoNA4AQgjcspJCrZbCCVsJ0bht5WXBdfn5HXkh474TNCRPQsdSXaZUIcUps_1KHnHM1No4UgW5oxFleRqURv-v2vYfm5s0UgGfj7mUE6mHERL8gvzGY1vHN3gdZYlX7aBVQ8K14uw/s400/bobby-pins-storage.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
You can put up a magnetic strip (from Dollarama or Craft Store) on the side or the back of your dressing room table! The bobby pins will stick to it!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsPO2BmQsnKzWCzTarYqZh6PTb3h0cfMvVFXVje5NH1zrBh69Qy3jprgFpWUkwWwjJqs78LfZz_GfqLE9XH4W0ufJzRxY2DFOjycXvzG3852s5DNw3ljXUpB4k2pIGwtnWfTZJUdWW4V4/s1600/bobby-pins-magnetic.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsPO2BmQsnKzWCzTarYqZh6PTb3h0cfMvVFXVje5NH1zrBh69Qy3jprgFpWUkwWwjJqs78LfZz_GfqLE9XH4W0ufJzRxY2DFOjycXvzG3852s5DNw3ljXUpB4k2pIGwtnWfTZJUdWW4V4/s400/bobby-pins-magnetic.png" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
If you are bored of the regular boring colours of the pins and want something different, give them a layer of paint with your fav colours! Put buttons on them or flowers!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh37hc0YbjoNv54QJSQMxQMWHm8h7mYe_9wNLTLAuibEljcz5M0Z-pOCI7xv6MSgEAE5QwQ2erI9iMep7a-9qZOWKCADhD6nsf2Q7zjXkv4yRqRFdEz3LvuyXgxVrns5W4QbswV07yEbcc/s1600/diy-button-bobby-pins.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh37hc0YbjoNv54QJSQMxQMWHm8h7mYe_9wNLTLAuibEljcz5M0Z-pOCI7xv6MSgEAE5QwQ2erI9iMep7a-9qZOWKCADhD6nsf2Q7zjXkv4yRqRFdEz3LvuyXgxVrns5W4QbswV07yEbcc/s400/diy-button-bobby-pins.jpg" width="266" /></a></div>
<br />
Or you can make your pins into a necklace! You can keep them the original colours or paint them the colours of your choice! Put them on a wire necklace after drying and you got yourself a nice cheap but sexy necklace!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Yup, I think I am going to make myself a necklace. I just don't know if I want to leave it original or paint it different colours... I like both. But I think I like colour a little bit more. And hey, when I get bored of the necklace, I've got different coloured bobby pins for my hair! Add a button or a flower and they will be cute as ever! <br />
